• U.S. Army PV2 Chris M. Guarnera has graduated from basic training and Military Police Course 31B at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

He is the son of Steve Guarnera and Lori and SFC(R) J. Todd Crosby, Stillwater. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 2007 and is an Oklahoma State University Army ROTC student.



• Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Evan R. Hadaway has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He earned distinction as an honor graduate of the course.

He is the son of William Hadaway, Tulsa, and grandson of Bob Denger, Stillwater. He graduated from Holland Hall Preparatory School in Tulsa in 2005.



• Fourteen Stillwater artists studied with nationally-renowned artists during a fall weekend at Quartz Mountain.

They were Rusty Muns, Erica Burns, Carolyn Lynd, Alexandra Sharp, Elizabeth Carver-Cyr, Jennifer Colburn, Cathy Cole, Diane Cox, Nicole Elliott, Lisa Larios, Tandi Memmott, Louise Miller, Shelley Mitchell and Jeri Sue Seefeldt.



• Nine area residents graduated this month from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.

Graduating from Stillwater with a master’s degree were Steven Shane Pate, with honors, political science — public affairs, and Robert Charles Scudder, education — general education.

Graduating from Stillwater with bachelor’s degrees were Adam E. Crider, finance — insurance; Lyndsay Marie Gillum, journalism; and Debi Lynn Haney-Carr, psychology.

Also graduating with bachelor’s degrees were Ashley Ranee Desilva, summa cum laude, elementary education, and Henry Kyle Heppel, magna cum laude, accounting, both of Cushing; Kristi Bell Cook, elementary education, Orlando; and Rodolfo Cabello, business administration — international trade, Perry.



• Justin L. Talley, Stillwater, has graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan with a doctor of philosophy degree.
