Dallas Brass is bringing an array of musical styles to the stage in Stillwater this week, the group’s founder said.
The six-man ensemble performs at the Stillwater Community Center Thursday at 7 p.m.
Michael Levine organized the group in 1983.
Levine says by design the show is for all ages.
“It’s a family show,” said Levine. “We pride ourselves on being able to entertain a 4-year-old and a 100-year-old at the same time.”
Their show, titled “American Musical Journey,” is an overview of American music history, said Levine. He said the performance is “very theatrical in its design.”
The two-hour show will see the ensemble play songs in the style of folk, pop, jazz, Broadway and patriotism. Levine says the group routinely works with area students while on tour and includes them in the show.
