The Farm Couple will perform for a third time this year at The Hideaway on Friday.

Monica Taylor, Perkins, and Patrick Williams, Grove, will sing and play their roots-folk music at 6:30 p.m. at The Hideaway.

They have been helping the restaurant celebrate its 50th anniversary this year.

The two have received songwriting awards at The Woody Guthrie Folk Festival and The Eureka Springs Folk Festival.

Taylor and Williams have also received airplay on nationally syndicated radio shows like Folk Sampler and The Pickin’ Post and regional radio shows like The Red Dirt Radio Hour hosted by John Cooper and Brad Piccalo of The Red Dirt Rangers and Eric Wayne on KVOO and Folk Salad on Tulsa’s NPR station KWGS.

In addition to their own songs, they also include on their albums many old songs by writers like The Louvin Brothers, Woody Guthrie, Dolly Parton, Hank Williams and many of Red Dirt Music’s favorite songwriters who are their friends of Patrick and Monica. Taylor has recorded songs by Red Dirt songwriters Bob Childers, Mike McClure, Scott Evans, Brad James, Mark Tulley and Chuck Dunlap.

They will have all four of their CDs with them Friday evening for sale.

The Farm Couple concert will again be followed by a jam session from 8:45 p.m. or so till 11 p.m.
