A third bartender has been charged with a felony after a sting operation Dec. 8 involving underaged customers.
Sarene Bronkey, 23, was charged Thursday with providing alcohol to a person under 21. She has been sent a notice to appear in Payne County District Court, records show.
Bronkey’s charge accuses her of serving a margarita and a mixed drink to two teenagers at Holiday Inn’s restaurant and bar. The teenagers showed the bartender identification with birth dates showing they are minors, the charge claims, but were served anyway.
Erik Smoot, an agent with the Oklahoma Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission, said three businesses served liquor to teenagers working with the ABLE commission during a Dec. 8 compliance check at six businesses.
Marie Ann Wallace, 21, and Laura Anne Johnson, 48, have also been charged with providing liquor to minors. Wallace is accused of serving the teens liquor at the Copper Penny and Johnson is accused of serving them liquor at The College Bar, court documents show.
