The Stillwater High School Choir is keeping to its holiday tradition with its Christmas Concert tonight at 7:30 at First Christian Church on the corner of Mathews and Duck streets.

Thirty-two members from the Pioneer Chorale and 25 members from the Pioneer Singers will sing a range of songs from classical pieces such as “Carol of the Bells” to more traditional pieces such as “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” Choir Director Steve Maison said.

“The SHS Choir always gives a nice tribute to the Stillwater community (with the Christmas concert),” Maison said, adding he has been directing the annual holiday concert at Stillwater High for 27 years. “We invite the public to see what we’ve worked hard toward.”

Admission is free to the concert, but the choir welcomes donations that will be used for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, Maison said.

Along with Maison, student teacher Rebecca Brinkley will help direct a few musical pieces. Also, accompanying the choirs are Scott Jackson and the instrumental music department of Stillwater High, Judy Mitchell and organist David Hughes.
