The Payne County Commission will meet Monday at 9 a.m. in the County Administration Building, 315 W. Sixth Ave., Suite 200.
On the agenda is the opening of the six-month bids, which the commission does at the end of every calendar year. These bids are for commonly used items, such as oil, grader blades and services, said Bill Deering, District 1 commissioner.
“We will probably open at least 50 or 60 envelopes that day,” Deering said.
The bids for products usually last sixth months, while service bids run through a year. Bid evaluations are to find the best price to keep the roads and bridges of Payne County in good shape.
Aside from the six-month bids evaluation, the commission will look at typical county business. Utility permits for road crossings will be discussed, along with requests for traffic control signs.
County Clerk Sherri Schieffer will present the minutes from last week’s meeting and provide monthly reports.
Issues from members of the public will be addressed at the beginning of the meeting.
