Central Rural Electric Cooperative estimated 350 members remained without power at 3 p.m. Saturday. That number was down from an estimated 600 at 8 a.m.

In a press release, CREC said members in the area south of Luther, southeast of Agra, and southwest of Stroud should make preparations to be without power today and possibly into Monday.

As line crews continue to energize more line, CREC said it is important to stay away from down power lines and trees that have fallen through power lines. “You cannot tell if a power line is energized by looking at it, and a power line doesn’t have to spark or sizzle to be carrying electricity,” the release said.
