A fire destroyed one garage and severely damaged another before spreading to a house Sunday afternoon on South Buckingham Road.

Crews from all four Stillwater stations responded to a call about a fire at 524 S. Buckingham at 1:15 p.m. Sunday. Both garages were in flames when firefighters arrived, and wind had caused the fire to spread to a house on the property, according to reports.

Firefighters were able to save the house, and no one was injured.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, but reports from the incident state that the fire likely started with several rags that had been used to stain wood in one of the garages.
