The Robert S. Kerr Food and Agricultural Products Center at Oklahoma State University was closed Thursday morning due to a Freon leak.
At about 5 a.m., a sensor detected Freon in the building and set off an alarm, university spokesman Gary Shutt said. Employees evacuated. No one was harmed, Shutt said.
A pipe cracked and leaked the refrigerant chemical, he said. The center has several walk-in freezers and refrigerators.
The crack was repaired and the center reopened late Thursday morning, Shutt said.
