A man suspected of committing a string of armed robberies in Stillwater and Payne County added a convenience store at West 19th Avenue and Sangre Road to his list Wednesday night.
Stillwater police believe he is responsible for 11 armed robberies since January.
Officers were dispatched to On Cue at Sangre Road at approximately 10:15 p.m. and were advised a robbery had just occurred, police said. The officers learned the suspect entered the store while the clerk was cleaning in the back. When she came to the front of the store she was confronted by a gun-wielding suspect demanding two boxes of cigars and cash.
After getting the cash and cigars from the clerk the suspect left north on foot. Witnesses described the suspect as a 5 foot, 10 inch black male with a medium build. He was wearing Khaki pants, a light colored hoodie, a brown mask, white ball cap, white latex gloves and dark colored shoes.
Stillwater Police Capt. Randy Dickerson said police believe it is the same man suspected of committing ten armed robberies in Stillwater and one in Perkins.
Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the suspect's arrest.
