A suspicious package, initially believed to be an explosive, was left at a Stillwater business Monday.

The Stillwater Police Department responded to the Cancer Care Center of Stillwater, 600 S. Adams, at 8:02 a.m. on a reported burglary.

On arrival, they were advised that an unknown suspect had entered the locked foyer and left a package next to the locked interior doors.

Upon initial examination, officers observed indications that this was a possible explosive device and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Bomb Squad was called to help with the investigation.

They secured the package and transported it to a safe location where it was examined. The contents of the package were found to be harmless.
