The Stillwater Police Department continues to listen to the public and its views on police service.

Last November, the SPD began asking residents their opinions of police and the services provided by the SPD. Since that time, police have conducted seven focus groups including more than 150 residents. Groups ranged from OSU students to religious groups to community service organizations.

“This is the chance for citizens to give us their input on how our department is serving the community,” said Norman McNickle, chief of police. “The focus groups were designed to give citizens a chance to have their voice heard.”

For any resident wishing to contribute to a focus group addressing police services, one final group is planned at the Stillwater Public Library, 1107 S. Duck, Room 119 on June 24 at 6 p.m. All residents are welcome to attend.
