Nebraska cornerback Alfonzo Dennard cuts off Oklahoma State running back Kendall Hunter, who rushed for 201 yards.

Led by 435 yards offense from quarterback Taylor Martinez, the Nebraska Cornhuskers handed Oklahoma State its first loss of the season, 51-41.

Martinez threw for 323 yards and a career-high five touchdowns on 23-of-35 passes. He also ran for 112 yards on 19 carries for the No. 14 Cornhuskers.

Nebraska trailed for only five minutes in the second quarter following an 80-yard touchdown pass from OSU’s Brandon Weeden to Justin Blackmon.

The Cornhuskers responded with a touchdown pass from Martinez to Brandon Kinnie, who had three touchdown grabs, with under a minute left in the half and never looked back.

OSU struggled on offense as well, converting just 3-of-13 third downs. But the stats were there for the No.17 Cowboys with Kendall Hunter’s 201 yards on 26 carries and 157 yards receiving and two scores from Blackmon.
