PERKINS — The Perkins-Tryon School Board on Monday unanimously accepted the new classroom addition at the high school as substantially complete.
The board members toured the facility, which will house math and history classrooms, with a representative from LWPB Architects who recommended the board accept the facility as substantially complete with a few minor items to be completed.
Also Monday, Superintendent James Ramsey announced the Cimarron Starlite Cruisers Car Show held in September raised $3,600 for the Ditz McIlvain Scholarship Fund, which is in honor of the late coach and that benefits P-T students going to college.
The board then unanimously approved the 2007 schedule of regular board meetings, most of which fall on the first Monday of the month.
