Jennifer Payne and Hagop Tornakian have been chosen as Stillwater High School Students of the Week.

Payne is the daughter of Michael and Donna Payne and has a 3.717 grade point average.

She has been involved in the Beta Club for three years, STUCO for one year and was senior representative, FCCLA for three years and was reporter, Fellowship of Christian Athletes for three years and the National Honor Society for two years.

She also was a member of the CBC Youth helping after Hurricane Katrina.

She was selected Student of the Month by the Kiwanis Club. She also competed with the band her freshman year and Chorale her junior year. She was a member of the girls’ golf team 2006-07.

Her outside activities include participating with the Countryside Baptist Church youth group.

She has worked for MK’s Photography 30 hours per week from May-August of 2007 and the Food Pyramid 16 hours a week from August 2007 until now.

She describes herself as outgoing, happy and energetic.

Her future plans are to attend Oklahoma State University and obtain an early childhood education degree and teach kindergarten and minor in photography.

Tornakian is the son of Parsegh and Marlene Tornakian and has a 3.5 GPA.

He has been involved in the Student Council for one year and was a representative and the Stillwater Soccer Club for three years being a starter for two years. He also has been involved in STUCO.

His honors include being named to the A B Honor Roll and was junior varsity captain on the soccer team. He has competed in Soccer U-19 Club, high school soccer for four years, football for one year and STUCO.

He has worked at Taco Mayo 20 hours per week in the OSU Student Union.

He describes himself as a very hard working person. His future plans are to attend OSU and pursue a degree in international business.
