Stillwater Public Schools Board of Education approved administration changes during the school board meeting on Monday.
The BOE approved Brandianne Green as the half time assistant principal at Richmond Elementary and the half time technology integration coordinator for the district. Green was the assistant principal at Will Rogers Elementary for the past two years. Green received her bachelor’s in education and master’s in educational leadership at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
“I hope to bring my energy and excitement for student learning and work side by side with Richmond principal Mrs. Rider,” Green was quoted as saying in a release from SPS. “I also hope to help teachers integrate technology in their classrooms with confidence and ease.”
The other position approved by the BOE was Dane Sallaska as the new assistant principal at Stillwater Junior High. Sallaska was the assistant principal at Westwood Elementary for the past four years. He has been with SPS for the past 13 years. He taught in the classroom for eight years before becoming assistant principal at Westwood.
“I perceive this job as one where I can make a significant impact in the lives of young adolescents, where I can support young people to grow and achieve, socially and academically,” he said in the release. “We only grow as people and as educators through stretching ourselves.”
