There are been several instances recently that concern me. Dining out I overheard a conversation of an American with several internationals. His voice was very loud. He said, “Yes I am Christian. My grandmother went to church.”

I recently spoke with a friend who opted for seminary to avoid going to Vietnam. He told me when he finished seminary there were job openings in church administration. Over the years, he has been promoted up the church hierarchy. He neither believes in Christ nor the Bible; to him, it is just employment.

To be a Christian is a simple process, but there is only one process. Read Romans 10:9-10. You must believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is the one and only son of God, that he died for our sins and was resurrected and now sits at the right hand of God. If you do not believe and say these things then you are not a Christian.

Jesus fully believed and supported what we call the Old Testament and inspired and caused to be written all we call the New Testament. If you are a Christian, then you believe as he does. If you do not, then you are not a Christian.

It is all or none. And if you don’t, please do not say you are a Christian. Read the Bible, do as it says.
