The Cushing Tigers did everything, but win Friday night. They had more rushing yards, more total yards, more first downs than Glenpool.
In other area games, Deer Creek-Lamont defeated Coyle, 46-0, Perkins-Tryon whipped Little Axe, 55-0, Perry beat Chisholm, 35-16, Welch shutout Agra, 48-0, and Tonkawa beat Pawnee, 27-13.
The Warriors had the statistic that matters the most – a 34-33 victory.
Cushing (2-3) trailed at half 20-14, but scored 13 in the third to build a 27-14 lead. Glenpool (2-3) outscored Cushing 14-6 in the final stanza to collect the win.
Cushing quarterback Blake Murray had his best game of the season. He had 14 carries for 127 yards and three touchdowns. He had touchdown runs of 27 yards and 5 yards twice. He completed 10 of 20 passes for 143 yards, including a 23-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Knight.
Tiger running back Dawson Myers rushed for 139 yards on 23 carries. He had the longest carry Friday night – a 63-yard touchdown romp in the first quarter.
