Oklahoma State’s women’s track and field team will open its 2007 season Friday and Saturday in Manhattan, Kan., as the team will compete in the Carol Robinson Winter Pentathlon and the KSU All-Comers Meet in Ahearn Field House.
The Cowgirls are coming off a tenth-place showing at last year’s Big 12 Indoor Championships, where the team was led by eight different scorers.
Among those representing OSU on Friday will be freshman Destyn Stallings and sophomore Tihana Sarac. The duo will also see action on Saturday as Sarac will throw the shot put, while Stallings will compete in the high jump.
On Saturday, OSU’s throwers, jumpers and sprinters will be in action at the KSU All-Comers Meet.
OSU’s list of competitors includes last year’s indoor conference scorers in junior LaKendra Greathouse and sophomore Mateja Posavec. The duo finished sixth in the shot put and eighth in the triple jump, respectively. Both athletes went on to be Midwest Regional qualifiers during the outdoor season.
