Jeffrey Carroll

Oklahoma State junior Jeffrey Carroll shoots a layup during Thursday's Big 12 Tournament contest against Iowa State. Carroll scored 21 points in the Cowboys' 92-83 loss to the Cyclones.

According to GoPokes.com, Oklahoma State senior men’s basketball player Jeffrey Carroll will likely be back playing for the Cowboys next week after they host Oral Roberts on Thursday night.

It was reported by Robert Allen on the radio that Carroll is in New York City being interviewed about the scandal that broke in late September. Carroll was implicated in the FBI investigation involving former OSU assistant coach Lamont Evans and financial advisers.

The Cowboys travel to Brooklyn, New York – the childhood home of first-year coach Mike Boynton – for the Legends Classic after their game with Oral Roberts. The Cowboys will play Texas A&M at 6 p.m. Nov. 20 in their first game of the Legends Classic.

Carroll has been allowed to continue practicing with the Cowboys since it was reported on Friday – hours before OSU tipped off its season opener – that he would be withheld from play pending the ongoing review of the men’s basketball program.

Carroll didn’t play in Friday’s 78-47 victory over Pepperdine. The Cowboys host Charlotte at 7 tonight at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
