CARNEY — No. 9 Ripley advanced to the finals of the Carney Invitational with a 9-3 win over Oilton on Friday.
The Warriors (17-6) had 13 hits in the contest.
“We hit the ball really well,” said RHS coach Donnie Hoffman. “I ran us out of an inning or two trying to get an extra base. We were really aggressive at the plate and on the basepaths. We played really well.”
Anthony Workman was the winning pitcher, improving to 4-2 with a 12-strikeout performance. He also had a pair of hits and two RBIs.
Brett Tilley was 3-for-5 with three runs and four stolen bases. John Grimes and Ethan Robinson each added two hits, with Robinson recording a double. Casey Sadler was 2-for-3 with a double and Kaleb Hoffman was 2-for-4.
Ripley will meet either Butler or Okarche in the final today at 2 p.m.
