The Golden Eagle fifth grade squad dropped an 18-0 decision to East Tulsa Gold last Saturday in Stillwater.

The Eagles (4-3) lost three fumbles and were intercepted twice. KJ Shaw finished with a game-high 11 tackles. Jenks Titanium host the Eagles this Saturday.

Tulsa took a 6-0 lead and on Stillwater’s next play recovered a fumble at the 31-yard line. Tulsa scored on the final play of the half for a 12-0 lead and on the first possession of the second half for the 18-point margin.

The Eagles’ fourth grade squad (6-1) won for the sixth time this fall, beating Jenks Maroon, 7-6.

Jenks scored on an 8-yard run for a 6-0 lead in the first quarter. Early in the third quarter, Cameron Mayberry’s 35-yard run set up Ty Smith’s 20-yard touchdown run to tie the game and Marlon McDonald hit Logan Anderson with the conversion pass for a 7-6 Eagle lead.

McDonald recovered a fumble to stop one Jenks drive and the game ended with Jenks at the Eagle 30-yard line. McDonald finished with a pair of fumble recoveries. Joseph Smith also recovered a fumble as the Eagle defense held Jenks to just 81 yards of offense.

The fourth graders will play a non-divisional game next Saturday against Union Silver (6-1) at 2 p.m. at the Old Union High School field.

Stillwater’s sixth grade Eagles extended their winning streak to six with a 22-14 victory over the East Tulsa Trojans last Saturday. Cameron Echols and Will Pendleton helped the Eagles rush for 152 yards. Quarterback Tyler Holcomb connected on four passes for 75 yards as the Eagles broke a 14-14 tie with 2:00 remaining in the game.

The sixth graders travel to Broken Arrow for a 6:30 p.m. contest this Saturday.
